CHIKA CHAKA CHATTER: YOUR WEEKLY UPDATE FROM MIKE & MEL: VOL. 1, ISSUE 7

Weekly Update 01/18/25 – 01/24/25

A Personal Note and Exciting Updates from Chika Chaka

Looking Back, Moving Forward – from Mel

This past Monday marked the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States—a moment that symbolizes new beginnings and, potentially, many changes ahead. No matter which side of the aisle you lean toward, let’s all strive to find common ground and keep kindness at the forefront. In the spirit of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, also this past Monday, let’s carry the values of compassion, understanding, and unity every single day.

On a personal note, Mike and I have been under the weather this week, so it’s been a bit quieter on the Chika Chaka front.

Here’s what we’ve been up to recently and what’s ahead for Chika Chaka…

Team Wins: Welcome back,TikTok & Friends! 😍

Phew! Tik Tok is back – for now. That was a long couple of hours. 😉We also lost Capcut for a day, but it’s back as well. The recent reinstatement is temporary. The underlying legal and political issues surrounding TikTok's data security and potential ties to the Chinese government remain unresolved. Even with the current pause, the U.S. government could still pursue a permanent ban or stricter regulations on TikTok. Let’s enjoy it while we’ve got it and hope for some closure soon.

Project Updates:

We’ve been exploring animation options for our backgrounds, and we’ve finally found a winner! 🎉 We’re thrilled about what’s coming for our upcoming shows. The scenes we’re working on feature an artistic style with a 3D feel and just the right touch of whimsy. It’s hard to put into words, but our goal is to create something truly unique—different from the animation styles you see everywhere else. Stay tuned for the magic to come!

We introduced our Chika Chaka animal friends one-by-one on social media last week. 👏👏🏾If you missed Momo, Noodles, Polly, Kara, and Bob, just go to our feed on your preferred social media site and check them out. Each character has a name AND theme song! It was so much fun putting all of it together.

Chika Chaka is now available on Amazon!

You can always find Chika Chaka on TikTok Shop, Whatnot, our website Chikachakatoy and limited specialty toy retailers. Our goal is to serve as many markets as possible while still supporting small businesses like us. If you’ve already purchased Chika Chaka, we’d love for you to leave a review on Amazon. If you haven’t purchased it yet, what are you waiting for? We’d love to have you as part of the family. 😍

We posted a meditation video for you to get your zen on! Our passion for getting people moving and our own love of mindfulness, yoga, and healthy habits inspired the resurgence of LēLa, our lifestyle brand that has been sitting on the shelf for almost ten years. Our mission is to help you achieve higher energy without disrupting your daily routine. Watch for more relaxation, meditation, and positive affirmation videos from us as we build it into the M&M Funky Stuff family. If you have an affinity for all things “namaste,” please give us a try. 🧘‍♂️

New Opportunities:

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis—consistently ranked one of the top museums in the country—will host a Chika Chaka event this February! 🎉 We’re beyond thrilled for this incredible opportunity and so excited that you can find our game in their gift shop!

We’re still working out the details with the museum’s amazing team, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as everything is finalized. We’d LOVE for you to stop by and join in on the fun!

2025 is shaping up to be an unforgettable year as we explore new ways to expand our reach. Stay tuned for more exciting events like this one! 💥
